If I were to choose between mountains and beaches, I would prefer the latter! Deep blue sea, scorching sun, salty water, and smooth sand are my happy pills! However, weeks ago, my friends and I decided to take our friendship to another level! From coffee to dinner dates to trekking! Yes! Trekking! My friends can testify that I am not a trekky person cause they know how “lampa” I could get. But all those long walks and sweat paid off when we actually saw God’s beautiful creation! Like seriously! It’s as if we are in Enchanted River in Surigao! But it was actually located in Majayjay Laguna, Brgy Bukal. Bukal Falls. Here is a photo!
Below are the things you need to know if you want to visit the falls.
🌿 Try to contact Kapitana Nelia before going to the venue. Mobile:+639282168279
🌿 Environmetal fee is Php 300 per group. (Invite friends pa so you can share a little) Entrance is Php 20 per head.
🌿 Prepare for a long walk. When I say long, it is super long! Usually, the trek takes 30-45 mins (from the registration area) depending your speed and lung capacity. But for us, it took I guess an hour and a half!
🌿 Be extra cautious as the trail tends to be rocky and slippery at times.
🌿 There are no restrooms and cottages in the area but you may use the Brgy Hall’s bathroom (free)and the nearby resto (with payment)
🌿 Prepare yourself as you will swim on an extremely cold water.
🌿 You may avail lifevest from the registration site because the river is 15 meters deep.
🌿 We rented a van (Php 4000-Sta.Rosa Laguna-Bukal Falls-Sta. Rosa Laguna) and put our whole trust to Waze so I don’t have any idea how to go there via commute.
🌿 You may visit Majayjay Church, Liliw (to buy new sandals/tsinelas) and if you want another adventure, might as well try Majayjay Falls and Pagsanjan Falls, too!
🌿 Everything is picturesque! You can have an epic photoshoot here.
